April 17- 1pm Homeschool Class
Build a Bee Hotel
Pollinators like bees are essential for healthy gardens, and not all bees live in hives! In this hands-on class, students will learn about solitary bees, such as mason bees and leafcutter bees, and how they help pollinate flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Each child will make their own bee house using simple materials like tin cans, paper straws, and bamboo to create a safe nesting spot for these important pollinators. By the end of class, students will have a better understanding of how to support local bees and take home a bee house to place in their own yard or garden.
